Scanning Information
Properly scanning your photo is a very important step in the photo enhancement process.

The images to the left clearly demonstrate the difference between a good scan (300 dpi) and a bad scan (72 dpi).

The artists at FixUpPix.com can fix just about anything... Anything except a bad scan of your photo.

Tips for Scanning
  • - Make sure that your scanner and your photo are both clean; free of dirt, lint, dust, and smudges.
  • - If you can choose between scanning modes, choose Photo or High Quality. Do not choose Document or Low Quality mode.
  • - Set the resolution setting (if available) to 300 dpi. If the resolution is set to less than this, there will not be enough information in your photo for our artists to fix it.
  • - When you’re done scanning your photo, verify that the digital file matches the original as closely as possible.
