First, you'll need to make an account, which is 100% free. Next, you either upload, e-mail, or snail mail us your picture(s) with a list of what needs to be fixed. Our artists will professionally retouch your image and post it back online for you to view. If you like the results, you can purchase it and instantly have access to the fully repaired version. If you're not satisfied with the work, you're under NO obligation to pay. It's that simple. 100% better photos. 100% satisfaction.
Q. I would like to get a picture fixed, but I don't have a scanner. What do I do?
Not a problem! Just mail us the photo, and we'll take care of scanning it for you (small fee may apply.) Once the image is scanned into our system, we'll correct the problem and mail you back the original at no charge. Simply pay a small fee for scanning.
Q. My picture has been repaired. How do I get it printed?
The easiest way to have your image printed is to take the digital file provided by FixUpPix.com and send it to one of the many online printing websites. Most major convenient stores offer this service. If you prefer to print the picture on your home printer, download your photo to your home computer and print as many as you like, it's yours!
Q. I'm on dial-up and can't upload my picture. Can I e-mail it to you later?
For now, you must email the photo to photos@fixuppix.com
Q. My account has been deleted, what happened?
To maintain the highest quality of service to our customers, FixUpPix.com purges our database of inactive users every 12 months. If its been longer than 12 months since your last purchase and you'd like to submit another picture for retouching simply create another account and you can upload you pic. You can even use the same email address as before.
Q. I have to mail you a photo, how should I package it?
We recommend placing your photo in a photo mailer (usually available at the post office). If your photo is fragile or damaged we recommend that you sandwich it between two pieces of cardboard and tape them together. Be sure that the cardboard extends about an inch in all directions from the photo. Be sure to include your reference number from the web site on the packaging.

Q. My photos are private, will everyone be able to see them?
Absolutely not. FixUpPix.com works very hard to protect the privacy of our clients. Your photos will be posted to your private (password protected) account where they will only be visible to you (unless you explicitly share your password with others).
Only authorized personnel who work to fulfill your order have access to your photos and images. FixUpPix.com does not share your photos, images and graphics with anyone or provide information about your photos, unless required to do so to satisfy any law, regulation, governmental request, or judicial order or in the event FixUpPix.com reasonably determines that disclosure is essential to protect itself, its customers or third-parties from physical or financial harm that may result from unlawful or dangerous conduct.

Q. How big should I send my file? What's this "resolution" thing?
You should always send the largest file that you have. This ensures the highest reproduction quality and the best quality of work when retouching photos.
Resolution refers to the number of dots of ink per inch (dpi) in a printed photo or the number of electronic pixels per inch (ppi) in a digital file. A typical picture off of the Internet has a low resolution and will not reproduce as well as a traditional photograph will. Photos that have low resolution will look fine on the computer screen but will appear very fuzzy when printed.
Digital cameras vary greatly in quality. Generally, if the camera is set to the "high-quality" setting, you'll be assured great results.
Ideally, you should submit your photo at the final size you would like it, at 300 dpi in RGB color mode.

Q. What settings should I use if I scan a photo?
You should use the "photo" scanning option. The resolution box should be set to high or 300 dpi. Avoid scanning your image above 300 dpi unless you plan on enlarging your image. Make sure that both the scanner and the photo are clean and free of dust, lint, dirt, or other debris. Once you have scanned your photo, compare the digital file with the original photo to make sure that it closely matches the original. Still can't get the results you want?
